FOREACH female thread adapters and connectors join, adapt, split and merge fluid lines in IVD, life science, laboratory automation and analytical instruments. They accept male-thread hard tube fittings or thread-to-barb fittings for reagent delivery, washing, circulation and other instrument fluid paths. Different passage arrangements and mounting options support tubing extensions, multiple branches and panel-mounted interfaces. Compatible fittings connect rigid or flexible tubing to simplify internal routing, branch connections and port mounting.
The range includes U standard unions, US square unions, PMU bulkhead unions, UT tees and UY wye connectors. Unions join two lines, tees and wyes form branches, and bulkhead unions secure the connection at a panel. Female threads include M6×1 and 1/4-28 UNF according to model, with internal bores of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mm. The thread specification matches the male fitting, while the bore describes the internal flow passage. The PMU-M12-U28-20 has an M12×1.5 panel-mounting thread, 1/4-28 UNF female fluid ports and a 2.0 mm bore. Body materials include PP, PPS and POM, with model-specific colors. Select mating fittings and seals to suit the port geometry.
Sealing performance, pressure capability and fluid retention depend on the fit between the connector, mating fittings, tube ends and seals. Select the internal bore according to adjacent tubing IDs, required flow and allowable pressure drop. Square-cut tube ends and correct positioning help reduce unnecessary cavities and retained liquid. The PMU-M12-U28-20 fits panels up to 12.5 mm thick and is secured by a matching nut; select other models according to their mounting dimensions. Choose materials for the process fluid, cleaning fluid and working temperature. At branch connections, leave space for tightening fittings, directing tubing and maintenance, and confirm the pressure capability and pressure drop of the complete assembled fluid path.
