Chemical-Resistant PTFE Tubing for Liquid Handling, 0.5–4.0 mm ID
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) tubing, often referred to as Teflon tubing, offers good resistance to most acids, alkalis and organic solvents. Its smooth bore and low surface energy facilitate flushing. It is commonly used for reagent, wash-fluid and waste-fluid lines in IVD and analytical instruments.
Natural, black and other model-specific color options are available, with inner diameters from 0.5–4.0 mm and outer diameters from 1.6–6.0 mm across the TH1 and TH2 series. ID/OD combinations and colors are matched by model. Black PTFE tubing can be used for light-sensitive reagent lines; light shielding must be checked against the reagent's sensitive wavelength range. Tubing is available by the roll, and compatible sizes can also be supplied as flanged, retaining-ring or ferrule tubing assemblies. Length, single- or double-ended connections, and fittings at ends A and B can be specified to drawings to reduce on-site processing and assembly.
