FOREACH 60 mm stroke syringe pump with solenoid valves, available in 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- or 8-channel configurations for metered reagent and buffer dispensing
FOREACH HMD6 is a 60 mm stroke syringe pump with solenoid valves, available in single-channel and 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- or 8-channel configurations. Glass-syringe metering and valve switching support reagent dispensing, sample dilution and multichannel buffer dispensing. The series accepts 25 μL–25 mL glass syringes; 10 mL and 25 mL syringes are limited to single-channel configurations. Valve configurations and fluid connections can be customized for the instrument.
Configure HMD6 metering channels according to dispensing positions, target volume per channel and instrument cycle time. RS-232, RS-485 and CAN communication options are available. Simultaneous or independent channel operation must be confirmed against the drive and control configuration. Consider needle spacing, installation width, refilling and washing sequences together for integration into multi-needle dispensing stations and automated analytical instruments.
Typical Applications:
Multichannel dispensing, Sample dilution, Buffer dispensing

Typical Applications
60 mm stroke syringe pump with solenoid valves, available in 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- or 8-channel configurations for metered reagent and buffer dispensing
Multichannel dispensing
For dispensing into several reaction vessels, select the channel count to match the dosing positions and installation width. Prime and measure every channel, accounting for tubing, needle resistance and backpressure differences. Confirm simultaneous or independent operation against the drive and control configuration.
Sample dilution
For sample preparation, add a defined diluent volume to a known sample volume. The final dilution depends on both volumes and subsequent mixing. Validate the working stroke with the actual liquid and program aspiration, dispensing and mixing as separate system operations.
Buffer dispensing
For repeated buffer delivery, plan the batch volume and refill interval together. Include valve switching and refill time in the equipment cycle. If the downstream process cannot tolerate interruptions, assess an alternating supply or buffer arrangement.
Configuration information
Define the minimum and maximum dispense volumes, total batch volume and acceptable refill time before selecting a compatible syringe. Syringe capacity is not the minimum reliable dispense volume. Validate small-volume delivery with the actual liquid, needle, tubing and backpressure.
Syringe pump selection should consider the required dispense volume, accuracy and repeatability, together with the number of metering channels, fluid paths and dispensing cycle time. Wetted-material compatibility, installation space and communication interfaces should also be evaluated. Metering channels refer to the syringe-metering units, while valve configurations determine how fluid paths are switched; each should be selected to suit the dispensing and fluid-routing requirements. RS-232, RS-485 and CAN communication options support instrument-controlled aspiration, dispensing and valve switching.

Frequently Asked Questions
HMD6 offers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 metering channels. Channel count alone does not establish independent control. Specify whether channels start together, dispense equal volumes or require separate aspiration, dispensing and washing, then confirm the drive and control configuration.
