FEP ferrule tubing assembly with transparent FEP tubing, a black threaded fitting and translucent conical ferrule

FEP Ferrule Tubing Assembly

FOREACH FEP ferrule tubing assemblies combine transparent FEP tubing, matched threaded fittings and ferrules without pre-flanging the tube end. They connect reagent, cleaning-fluid and internal fluid paths in in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) and automated analytical instruments. Available tubing IDs span 0.3–2.0 mm, with ODs of 1.6, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.2 mm. Select the actual ID/OD pairs and specify finished length and A/B end connections.

The fitting compresses the ferrule to retain and seal tubing at M6×1 or 1/4-28 UNF flat-bottom ports. Depending on the series, PPS, PVDF, PEEK, POM and PP fittings are available in standard and compact structures, with PP or ETFE ferrules matched to tube OD and port. Stop tubes and identification can be added to the installation drawing. Equipment development, samples and batch assembly are supported. Confirm working pressure and temperature for the specific dimensions, ports and complete assembly.

FOREACH holds ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management system certifications.

Typical Applications:

Reagent line connections, Cleaning-fluid line connections, End connections without pre-flanging, Internal instrument fluid-path assembly

FEP Ferrule Tubing Applications & Customization

Equipment development, assembly to drawing, sample development and batch production are supported.

Instrument fluid-path integration

Assemblies for in-vitro diagnostic and automated analytical instruments are selected against the actual reagent, cleaning fluid and connection requirements.

FEP tubing and custom length

Transparent FEP tubing can connect reagent, cleaning-fluid and sample-related fluid paths in instruments. Where liquid or bubble visibility is needed, assess visibility using the actual tube wall and sample.

Assembly drawings and dimensions

Provide tube ID/OD, finished length and tolerance, length measurement datum, A/B port drawings, fitting materials, threads and installation space. Show stop and label positions and dimensions on the assembly drawing.

Fluids, pressure and temperature

Specify the working fluid, concentration, cleaning fluid, contact time, pressure, temperature and inspection requirements to confirm wetted materials and the complete assembly.

Installation and mating ports

Check ferrule orientation, tube insertion depth and fitting tightening requirements. Assemble to the drawing and specified torque; avoid tension and sharp bends.

Quality documents and delivery

FOREACH holds ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management system certifications. Applicable REACH and RoHS reports and material safety data sheets (MSDS) can be supplied for relevant connection components according to material and model. Dimensional inspection, seal testing, identification and packaging requirements for samples and batches are agreed for each project.

Submit your requirements

Prepare an assembly drawing, port drawing or BOM, together with sample quantity, batch requirements and acceptance criteria.

Use the fluid resistance calculator for preliminary estimates when comparing how tube diameter or length affects pressure drop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Transparent FEP tubing allows visual observation of liquid and bubbles. Visibility depends on the tube wall, ID and liquid colour; check a sample with the actual liquid.

Choose ID/OD from the listed tubing combinations and specify finished length and tolerance. Submit drawings for evaluation of other dimensions or end-forming requirements.

No. The matching fitting compresses the ferrule to retain and seal the tubing. Follow the model-specific requirements for ferrule orientation, tube insertion depth and tightening.

Pressure depends on tubing, dimensions, temperature, connections and assembly. Provide the target pressure and fluid; use the confirmed rating and test report for that configuration.
