SMTP4 Air Displacement Pipetting Modules

FOREACH SMTP4 air displacement pipetting modules are designed for integration into automated instruments, with nominal capacities of 100 μL and 500 μL. They use disposable tips for sample transfer, reagent addition and aliquoting, and support automatic tip ejection. The series suits sample preparation and automated dispensing units in which the instrument supplies drive, positioning axes and process control.

SMTP4-100 μL is a candidate for small-volume sample transfer and reaction setup. SMTP4-500 μL supports larger individual transfers, sample aliquoting and diluent addition. Their drive resolutions are 0.05 μL per step and 0.25 μL per step, respectively. Select a configuration according to actual working volumes and performance requirements; step resolution does not define the minimum reliable transfer volume.

SMTP4 requires instrument-provided drive and process control. If liquid-level, blockage or tip-status feedback is needed, a separate detection solution must be integrated. Check tip sealing, tip-loading and ejection travel and forces, installation space and coordination with positioning axes. Validate aspiration and dispensing parameters, automatic tip ejection and the instrument's cycle time using the intended liquid and tips.
