HLD6 60 mm Rotary Valve Syringe Pump

FOREACH 60 mm stroke syringe pump with 3-way, 5-way or 9-way rotary valves, compatible with 25 μL–25 mL glass syringes for selection between multiple liquid sources and metered dispensing

FOREACH HLD6 is a 60 mm stroke rotary-valve syringe pump integrating glass-syringe metering with multi-way fluid-path selection. It accepts 25 μL–25 mL glass syringes and offers configurations including 3-way, 5-way and 9-way rotary valves for reagent dispensing, diluent addition and wash-liquid transfer. Valve configurations and connections can be customized to suit the required fluid circuit.

HLD6 connects and selects liquid sources and delivery paths through the rotary valve, while the syringe performs sequential aspiration and metered dispensing. It supports multistep liquid addition, repeated dispensing and wash-liquid switching. RS-232, RS-485 and CAN options support integration into IVD analyzers, laboratory instruments and automated liquid handling systems. Select the configuration according to dispense volume, batch volume, refill frequency, valve sequence and installation space.

Typical Applications:

Reagent selection, Sample dilution, Flushing and carryover control

Typical Applications

60 mm stroke syringe pump with 3-way, 5-way or 9-way rotary valves, compatible with 25 μL–25 mL glass syringes for selection between multiple liquid sources and metered dispensing

Reagent selection

For sequential reagent selection, use the confirmed valve diagram to connect liquid sources and delivery paths. Valve connections are selectable routes rather than independent metering units. Account for the volume displaced from shared passages before delivering the next reagent.

Sample dilution

For sample preparation, add a defined diluent volume to a known sample volume. The final dilution depends on both volumes and subsequent mixing. Validate the working stroke with the actual liquid and program aspiration, dispensing and mixing as separate system operations.

Flushing and carryover control

When reagents share a syringe and valve passages, define a compatible flushing sequence covering the syringe, common path, outlet tubing and needle. Check carryover after the higher-concentration reagent using a blank or a suitable analytical method before setting wash volume and timing.

Configuration information

Provide the number of liquid sources and destinations, aspiration and delivery direction at each step, dose, cycle time, media and wash liquids, acceptable carryover, connections, installation dimensions and communication requirements. Options such as 3-, 5- and 9-way valves are examples; confirm the final valve and connections against the required fluid circuit.

Syringe pump selection should consider the required dispense volume, accuracy and repeatability, together with the number of metering channels, fluid paths and dispensing cycle time. Wetted-material compatibility, installation space and communication interfaces should also be evaluated. Metering channels refer to the syringe-metering units, while valve configurations determine how fluid paths are switched; each should be selected to suit the dispensing and fluid-routing requirements. RS-232, RS-485 and CAN communication options support instrument-controlled aspiration, dispensing and valve switching.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Valve ways describe fluid-routing configurations, not separate syringes. Use the customized fluid diagram to identify the common connection, liquid sources, outlets and permitted switching paths. Valve-way count does not establish how many liquids can be dispensed simultaneously.

Define the minimum and maximum dispense volumes, total batch volume and acceptable refill time before selecting a compatible syringe. Syringe capacity is not the minimum reliable dispense volume. Validate small-volume delivery with the actual liquid, needle, tubing and backpressure.

Changing valve position does not remove residual liquid. Identify the shared syringe, common valve passages, outlet tubing and needle in the fluid diagram. Establish a compatible flushing sequence and volume, then assess carryover using blanks or a method suitable for the target analyte.

A single syringe must refill, so a complete cycle includes dispensing, valve switching and aspiration. If uninterrupted delivery is required, evaluate an alternating-pump or buffer arrangement and verify flow fluctuations. A larger syringe may reduce refill frequency for some tasks but does not guarantee continuous flow.

Accuracy describes deviation from the target volume; repeatability describes variation between repeated dispenses. Drive resolution does not replace either measure. Test repeatedly at the target dose, liquid, speed and backpressure, and state the applicable syringe and test conditions when quoting specifications.
