Flexible Tubing for Laboratory Fluid Lines
FOREACH PVC (polyvinyl chloride) tubing is designed for gas and liquid transfer, cleaning and drainage, and internal fluid connections in analytical instruments, laboratory automation and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) equipment. Its flexible construction facilitates routing, while the transparent tube makes liquids and bubbles visible. Available size combinations span 0.8–19.1 mm inner diameter and 2.4–25.4 mm outer diameter, with Shore A hardness options of 55 and 65. Select the model according to installation space, wall thickness and connection requirements.
OEM instrument tubing configurations are supported. Tubing dimensions, hardness and connections can be matched to the fluid, equipment layout and fitting specifications. Current models are supplied in options including 15, 30 and 50 metres per roll. Custom dimensions, hardness and roll lengths can be evaluated for individual projects to support equipment assembly and volume production.

Which Tubing Details Matter Before Ordering?
The video shows the appearance and flexibility of tubing. Selection also requires information that cannot be established from appearance alone: the material formulation, dimensions, pressure conditions and complete connection.
Material and exposure
Identify the liquid, concentration, temperature, contact time and cleaning agents. Check the selected material and formulation against those conditions instead of transferring a general chemical-resistance statement to every tube.Inner diameter and outer diameter
Inner diameter affects the flow passage and hose-barb fit. Outer diameter affects clearance and fittings designed to grip or seal the tube exterior. Record both dimensions and their tolerances.Routing and connection
Check bend radius, tube retention and support near the fitting. A tight bend or repeated pull can change the flow path or load the connection even when the tube initially appears to fit.
How Do You Choose a Material for Laboratory Tubing?
Start with the actual fluid and cleaning process, then compare suitable tubing grades. FOREACH lists PVC and TPU tubing as well as FEP, PTFE, PEEK and PFA options. These materials have different mechanical and chemical properties; they should not be treated as interchangeable because they share the same nominal diameter.
Request the technical data and any required compliance documentation for the selected formulation and supplied part. Transparency, a smooth surface or a manual bending demonstration does not establish extractables performance, chemical compatibility, sterilization suitability or a pressure rating for every application.
How Do Tubing ID and OD Affect the Connection?
For a hose barb, begin with the tubing inner diameter and the specified barb profile. Wall thickness, hardness and elasticity influence how the tube expands over the barb, grips the connection and resists pull-off. An oversize tube can fit loosely; an overly tight combination may require excessive force or damage the assembly.
For fittings specified by tubing outer diameter, follow that connection's sealing geometry and assembly instructions. Do not infer compatibility from a matching nominal size alone. Record the actual tube dimensions and tolerance, and verify retention and leakage with the chosen tube and fitting under representative conditions.
What Should Be Checked After Routing Flexible Tubing?
Inspect the installed route for kinks, sharp bends, rubbing and unsupported loads at the fittings. Check whether movement, temperature or suction changes the tube shape. A connection that seals during a stationary bench test may behave differently when the reservoir moves or the instrument cycles.
Run the complete fluid path at the required flow, inlet and outlet conditions. Check for leaks, air entry, tube movement and changes after cleaning or repeated use. Keep the acceptance criteria tied to the instrument task: a supply line, waste line and precision dispensing line can impose different requirements on the same nominal tube size.
Compare Tubing Materials and Available Dimensions
Review PVC and TPU tubing for the flexible-line task, then use the additional material pages below when the application calls for a different chemical or mechanical profile. The wider product range is provided for comparison; the video does not demonstrate every listed material.
