01What do these products do in this instrument?

Tubing pinch-off solutions: isolation of flexible-tubing branches

Open and close branches in culture or transfer configurations using flexible-tubing control, coordinated with supply and maintenance sequences. Tubing, fittings and replacement procedures jointly define wetted contact and contamination-control boundaries.

Discuss tubing pinch-off for the specific project. Tubing and fittings define the liquid-contact path. Validate tubing material, wall thickness, pinch seal and replacement procedure together, and assess cleaning or sterilization across the complete path.

02Match the pinch location to tubing condition

Confirm pinch-off and release conditions for the actual tubing material, ID/OD, wall thickness and operating pressure. Identify isolation locations and permitted flow states, and check that actuator motion and tubing reopening are compatible.

03Check pinch sealing and recovery after replacement

Measure leakage when clamped and flow when released, including actual cycles and post-maintenance checks. After replacing tubing, reconfirm positioning, sealing and restart performance. Validate cleanliness of the complete section together with its connections, assembly and cleaning procedure.

04Translate actual branch conditions into configuration requirements

Pinch-valve configuration for cell culture and transfer
ConditionTo confirm
Tubing conditionsConfirm material, inner and outer diameters, wall thickness and actual pressure.
Pinch-off and power-loss statesCheck pinch location, action timing and the acceptable state after power loss.
Maintenance recoveryCheck leakage when pinched, flow when released and repeatability after tubing replacement.

05Compare product configurations by the roles on this page

Confirm this tubing-pinch option against the actual medium, pressure, connections and operating procedure. This page describes application roles and validation conditions; discuss specific product configurations for the project.

  • Discuss configuration and validation requirements for this task

06Confirm product roles in actual operation

Compare viability, recovery and cell condition before and after transfer, and validate the required contamination controls.

07Does clamping tubing establish sterile isolation?

Evaluate the complete tubing, fittings, assembly and cleaning or sterilization procedure. Pinching only establishes opening or closure at a particular location.

Low shear and sterility are validation objectives for the complete flow path. Neither a diaphragm pump nor a pinch valve alone establishes them.

What Is a Programmable Syringe Pump? Operation, Fluid Routing and Automation

A programmable syringe pump uses a motor to control syringe plunger displacement and speed, executing aspiration, dispensing, pauses and repeated actions through commands. With a routing valve, it can connect reagent reservoirs, reaction vessels and wash paths into an automated dispensing process. Instrument development therefore needs to define volume, fluid connections and timing together.
