Where fluid-path management occurs in the instrument
Assign resource states, interlocks and task order to pumps, valves, stations and waste handling. Record liquid destinations and sample identity at interruption, and define retryable steps to prevent duplicate dosing.
Define resource conflicts for pumps, valves, stations and waste handling. Sequential and concurrent actions should follow the same state diagram. If confirmation is lost, preserve sample identity and completed-step records.
Product responsibilities in this operation
Valves control the current source or destination; the associated drive performs metering or transfer. Port connections, actual positioning and shared-segment renewal must match the operation.
For workstation fluidic integration, confirm task state, sample or vessel identity, concurrent resources, interlocks and restart procedures.
Organize the sequence by actual architecture
- Build a resource-state table covering sources, pumps, valves, stations, wash stations and waste paths. Bind sample or plate-position identity, and list conflicts and interlocks for concurrent tasks.
- Start operations in the sequence of preparation, reservation, confirmation and execution. Check communication responses, valve positions, motion positions and actual fluid-path connections separately.
- Record receiving results and confirmed delivery. Complete required flushing and restoration before releasing shared resources. An action-complete signal does not establish liquid arrival.
- Test interruption recovery before delivery, after partial delivery and after completion. Confirm that stopping, resuming or discarding does not cause delivery to the wrong destination or repeated operations before platform scheduling resumes.
Define operating conditions for this task
| To define | Details |
|---|---|
| Actual operating conditions | Task state, sample or vessel identity, concurrent resources, interlocks and restart |
| Acceptance target | Test concurrent operation, limiting states and complete fault recovery; verify that identities, cumulative quantities and records match actual actions |
| Fault localization | Resource conflicts, communication loss or mismatched identities can cause delivery to the wrong destination or repeated dosing. |
Compare product configurations by the roles on this page
| Product | Configuration option | Conditions to verify |
|---|---|---|
| MRV3 multiport rotary valve | Multiple-source selection | Compare 10-, 16- and 24-port options and port diagrams; verify high-pressure suitability separately |
| SV10 solenoid valve | On/off control or branch selection | Check normal state, differential pressure, flow direction and duty cycle; high-pressure tasks require a separately suitable configuration |
Validate operation results at the receiver
Cover concurrency, boundary states and complete recovery after faults. Check that identity, cumulative volume and records match actual operations.
Validate concurrency, restart after interruption and record traceability to prevent sample misassignment or duplicate dosing.
Locate abnormalities and restore the next operation
Resource conflicts, communication interruptions or identity mismatches can cause misdelivery or duplicate dispensing.
Stop the affected branches and recover using execution records.
Connectable modules are not automatically plug-and-play. Recovery actions must match the current liquid and sample state.
