Where per-well screening-plate delivery occurs
This task covers disposable-tip delivery to screening plates. Organize per-well operations by actual plate format, well identity and liquid class, linking delivered volume to culture or screening steps. See diaphragm pump guides for shared wash stations and auxiliary supply or drainage.
Evaluate delivery, residual liquid and cultivation or screening results by plate format and well order. For supply and waste-station architecture, see microplate automation.
Product responsibilities in this operation
The air-displacement pump drives liquid inside the tip; the platform manages tips, wells and movement. Associate liquid destinations and consumable states with every operation.
For biofoundry construct development and screening, define plate format, well positions, independent channels, branch resistance and concurrent flow.
Organize the sequence by actual architecture
- This task is limited to disposable-tip per-well liquid handling. First confirm culture or screening plate format, well identity, addition sequence and target dose.
- Aspirate and dispense using the actual reagent and tip configuration. Check pickup sealing, receiver position and actual delivered volume in each well.
- Complete tip changes and well records according to experimental requirements. Check residual liquid, cross-contamination and corresponding culture/screening results.
- Organize shared supply, plate washing and waste removal at their respective stations. After interruption, determine where to resume from each well's delivery status.
Define operating conditions for this task
| To define | Details |
|---|---|
| Actual operating conditions | Plate format, well positions, independent channels, branch resistance and concurrent flow |
| Acceptance target | Measure first and last wells, channel differences and the complete plate cycle; preserve well identities and verify actual delivery and residual liquid. |
| Fault localization | Empty sources, bubbles, nozzle droplets and backpressure changes affect first or last doses |
Compare product configurations by the roles on this page
| Product | Configuration option | Conditions to verify |
|---|---|---|
| SMTP air-displacement pipetting pump | Air displacement with disposable tips | Validate tip sealing, liquid type and motion together |
Validate operation results at the receiver
Test first and last wells, channel variation and the complete plate cycle. Retain well identities and verify actual delivery and residual liquid.
Assess per-well delivery, identity traceability and construct-development or screening results together.
Locate abnormalities and restore the next operation
Empty sources, bubbles, nozzle droplets and backpressure changes may affect first or last doses.
Stop affected steps, validate recovery after priming and avoid duplicate dispensing.
High throughput and multiple channels do not establish valid experimental results. See laboratory automation for shared workstation architecture.
