Where tubing control fits in the instrument
Pinch valves can limit liquid contact with the valve body, but tubing, fittings, closure, cleaning or sterilization and replacement still need assessment. Validate closed transfer and aseptic sampling across the complete path and procedure.
Pinching reduces liquid contact with the valve body, but tubing, fittings and maintenance remain within the contamination-control boundary. After installation, check closure, sealing and cleaning or sterilization procedures.
Product responsibilities in this operation
Valves control the current source or destination; the associated drive performs metering or transfer. Port connections, actual positioning and shared-segment renewal must match the operation.
For online sampling, define tubing material, OD and wall thickness, pressure or vacuum, closure and cycle count.
Organize the sequence by actual architecture
- Confirm actual pinch and sampling-port locations. Check tubing material, dimensions, fittings and operating pressure, and define open, closed and maintenance states.
- Check pinch sealing and released-state flow separately in the installed system, and verify destinations against the actual sampling program.
- After replacement, recheck contamination boundaries across the complete tubing, fittings, assembly and cleaning or sterilization procedure. Pinch closure alone does not establish aseptic sampling.
Define operating conditions for this task
| To define | Details |
|---|---|
| Actual operating conditions | Tubing material, OD/wall thickness, pressure/vacuum, pinch-off and cycle count |
| Acceptance target | Measure closed-state leakage, open-state resistance and tubing condition after cycling. Check complete-path sealing and contamination-control boundaries after maintenance. |
| Fault localization | Tube fatigue, incorrect installation or differential pressure outside configuration limits may prevent closure |
Compare product configurations by the roles on this page
Confirm this tubing-pinch option against the actual medium, pressure, connections and operating procedure. This page describes application roles and validation conditions; discuss specific product configurations for the project.
Validate operation results at the receiver
Measure closed-state leakage, open-state resistance and tubing condition after cycling. Check complete-path sealing and contamination-control boundaries after maintenance.
Compare process and collected samples, checking target retention, contamination and reactor-volume changes.
Locate abnormalities and restore the next operation
Tubing fatigue, incorrect installation or differential pressure beyond configuration limits can cause shutoff failure.
Isolate and replace defective tubing, then revalidate the complete path.
Removing cell aggregates may change the measured target. Reduced valve-body contact through a pinch valve does not make the entire path sterile.
