Where pretreatment occurs in the instrument
Arrange dilution, preservation or other pretreatment as required by the method, recording actual volumes, delays and destinations. Configure washing and waste removal separately. Validate analyte recovery rather than checking only that tubing is unobstructed.
Arrange dilution, preservation or other treatment according to the analytical method. Measure recovery and blanks, and record sample arrival time.
Product responsibilities in this operation
Syringe drive and valve positions jointly organize aspiration, holding and dispensing. Record working volume, remaining inventory and replenishment timing according to the sequence.
For online sampling, define actual sample, diluent or internal-standard volumes, concentrations at each stage, mixing and subsequent sampling conditions.
Organize the sequence by actual architecture
- Confirm whether dilution or other pretreatment is needed for the actual analytical method. Record sampling time, original-sample volume, diluent and receiving destination.
- Meter and deliver separately in suitable syringe-driven paths. Check actual ratios, mixing and sample-arrival delay.
- Assess treatment through analyte recovery, blanks and method results while retaining sampling-volume and delay records. Follow the method separately for preservation or separation conditions.
Define operating conditions for this task
| To define | Details |
|---|---|
| Actual operating conditions | Actual volumes of original sample, diluent or internal standard; concentrations at each stage; mixing and resampling conditions |
| Acceptance target | Measure each branch's delivery, received ratio and mixing uniformity separately, then check assay response |
| Fault localization | Small-volume errors, shared residual liquid or inadequate mixing may alter the actual ratio |
Compare product configurations by the roles on this page
| Product | Configuration option | Conditions to verify |
|---|---|---|
| HLD rotary-valve syringe pump | Aspiration, holding and dispensing with a rotary valve | Check source/outlet valve positions, capacity budget and replenishment timing |
| HMD solenoid-valve syringe pump | Metered aspiration and dispensing with solenoid valves | Check open/closed and power-off states, working volume and replenishment cycle |
Validate operation results at the receiver
Measure each branch's delivery, received ratio and mixing uniformity separately, then check assay response.
Compare process and collected samples, checking target retention, contamination and reactor-volume changes.
Locate abnormalities and restore the next operation
Small-volume errors, shared residue or insufficient mixing may change the actual ratio.
Review actual results of affected steps before resuming the next action.
Removing cell aggregates may change the measured target. Reduced valve-body contact through a pinch valve does not make the entire path sterile.
