Can a pressure-test reading be used as a continuous pump rating?

A pressure reached during a short demonstration is not automatically a permitted continuous working pressure. This DPL60 video should be read alongside the current product specification and flow-pressure curve before choosing an operating point.

  • Read the gauge with the test setup
Gauge location, outlet restriction, supply conditions and elapsed time are needed to interpret a pressure reading. Without that context, do not use the visible peak as a system design rating.

  • Ask how much liquid is still moving
A maximum-pressure condition does not establish useful delivery flow. Select the point that meets the required flow through the actual downstream resistance, within the published operating limits.

  • Check every pressure-exposed part
The pump, tubing, fittings, valves and destination all have their own constraints. Evaluate transients and prolonged operation in addition to the pressure shown in a brief clip.

Use current liquid pump specifications for pressure selection

Compare the DPL60 motor variants and their documented conditions. The linked specification and curve, together with your system test, determine a suitable operating point; the video alone does not establish a new pressure rating.
