How to Choose a Miniature Diaphragm Pump for Your Fluid System
Choose a miniature diaphragm pump by medium, working flow, pressure, materials and control requirements, then compare liquid and gas-liquid configurations.

Which requirements should come first in diaphragm pump selection?
Define the medium and the required operating point before choosing a pump model. This short video introduces diaphragm pump selection; the checklist below turns that starting point into a practical comparison of available configurations.
Liquid or alternating gas and liquid
Decide whether the pump transfers a continuous liquid supply or encounters air-liquid transitions during aspiration. Select a pump intended for that medium pattern instead of comparing flow numbers across different test media.Flow at pressure and inlet conditions
Specify the required flow together with outlet backpressure, inlet lift and tubing restrictions. Free flow, maximum pressure and ultimate vacuum are separate specification points, not a single guaranteed operating condition.Materials, connections and controls
Check all wetted materials against the fluid and cleaning method. Then confirm tubing connections, mounting space, voltage, duty cycle and required motor-control signals before choosing a prototype configuration.
Compare pumps by the liquid-handling task
Use DPL30 and DPL60 for different liquid-flow requirements, DPL30H when higher backpressure needs review, and DPGL800 for gas-liquid aspiration tasks. These are different selection paths, not interchangeable pump ratings.
